Modenas new Elegan Scooter 200cc

Talking about evolution, The new Elegan 200 variant has been launched by Modenas replacing the former 150cc Elegan upgraded from 146.9 cc to 171.2 cc displacement. The new Modenas scooter aim for scooterists upgrading to the mid-range rides. The Modenas Elegan 200price will be around RM 8500 on-the-road. The evolution take part in new Elegan 200 with new sporty bodykit with dual head lamp ,new engine, new decal design, and a bigger front wheel of 13-inches wheel compared to the 12-inch of the former. Although It has small 175cc displacement compare to other maxi scooter, the Elegan 200 still giving the same ride experience with comfortable ride as easy rider.

2010 MODENAS ELEGAN 200 NEW SCOOTER EVOLUTION

The new Elegan model is another Sym Joyride Evo 200 model rebatched by Modenas taken from Sym or Sangyang Motorycle Industry Co., Ltd, scooter manufacturer from Taiwan.

The original 175cc engine, fed by a carburetor and regulated by an Air Intake Cut Valve for better emission control, the engine develops 14.74hp @ 8,000rpm and 14.94Nm @ 6,500rpm max torque will accelerate the scooter in no time. Drive goes to the rear wheel by a CVT, and the suspension setup features a telescopic fork up front and a double swing design for the rear. Disc brakes are standard front and rear. Moreover, the bike is offered in white, black and red color.

2010 MODENAS ELEGAN 200 NEW FEATURES:

Notable features of the Modenas Elegan 200 include a vast key-lockable underseat storage bin, automatic fuel cap, and a rear passenger foot rest. In addition,the dual headlights operate independently, the right side projecting the high beam, and switching over the other for the low beam requirements. The dashboard features a 6-in-1 meter displaying the fuel gauge, rpm, temperature, speedo-meter and a clock.

With an underseat storage compartment able to store one street-legal open-face helmet, the new scooter has a battery power cut-off switch below its seat as an additional security feature. An anti-clockwise twist of the ignition key would pop-open the fuel filler cap automatically, and the seat key lock is situated rear-ward on the pillion’s left side of the bike. A retractable foot-rest is provided for the pillion.
